The last surviving grandchild of Sigmund Freud, Sophie Freud passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. Freud fled Nazism in Vienna during World War II and sought asylum in the United States, where she became a psychology professor in Boston, Massachusetts. Her two primary areas of focus were ensuring children’s rights and introducing feminist ideology in social work practices.
