Photo taken by rabbi’s wife in 1931 symbolising Jewish defiance of the Nazis comes home

Rosi Posner’s photograph of a menorah overlooking a Kiel street finally returns to Germany, just in time to celebrate Hanukkah. This photograph, taken in 1931, served as a symbol of Jewish defiance during the German Nazi occupation of Europe.
