Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust edited by Sonja M. Hedgepeth and Rochelle G. Saidel, a project of Remember the Women Institute, was chosen as one of the annual "Top Ten Holocaust Books" recommended in 2020 by the students in the Weiss-Livnat International Holocaust Studies MA Program at University of Haifa, Israel. The students compiled a list of ten Holocaust books that they found most thought-provoking, impactful, and moving. See the complete list.
A Cry in Unison: Sistering for Survival, a memoir by Holocaust survivor and Remember the Women Institute Advisory Board Member Judy Cohen, is part of the Azrieli Series of Holocaust survivor memoirs. As always, Judy emphasizes women’s experiences. The book not only tells Judy’s story, but also documents with footnotes and references the history that she was part of. Heather Dune Macadam's excellent 999:The Extraordinary Young Women of the First Official Jewish Transport to Auschwitz is now being made into a movie. As Rochelle G.
