Kinstler and “Come to This Court and Cry: How the Holocaust Ends”

What happens to memory when the last eyewitness to the Holocaust dies?

Linda Kinstler’s 2022 debut, Come to This Court and Cry: How the Holocaust Ends, asks the question on everyone’s minds: how can we truly remember the Holocaust when survivors and eyewitnesses are dying every day? What will the world of memory look like when there are no survivors with us? Kinstler discusses her own family history in Eastern Europe, Latvia specifically, and thoughts about justice for the future of Holocaust memory in a podcast with the University of California at Berkeley, where she is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Rhetoric.
